The University of York is committed to making its websites accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This accessibility statement applies to the ADLib (Accessing Disability Library).

This website is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 15/07/2025.
We used a combination of methods to check the site:

Accessibility Evaluation Tools - used to scan a number of sample pages and highlight accessibility issues

Manual Testing - we used an accessibility checklist to manually check a representative sample of pages from across our website, this included:
- Testing with the NVDA screen reader
- Manually testing site navigation by only using the keyboard
- Testing site functionality in high contrast mode using Windows 11 ‘Night Sky’ high contrast mode in the Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge browsers
- Testing for colour contrast using Windows 11 ‘Greyscale’ mode in the Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge browsers
