Title
Elicitation Story: Guidance
Abstract
Elicitation Stories can prepare people with additional needs to express their opinions on important subjects. Elicitation stories are similar to social stories or narratives for anxiety. They are designed to help participants to gain a secure knowledge and understanding of what is being asked of them and to help them start to think about the topic being researched. They are a useful precursor to collecting data with an inclusive data collection tool such as a visual conversation, an energy meter or a regulation meter. This guidance will talk you through the stages of planning, developing, and collecting data using an elicitation story.
