Using elicitation stories to aid in research
Abstract
Elicitation Stories can help people with additional needs express their opinions on important subjects. This system, based on the development of “narratives for anxiety”, uses descriptive, perspective, coaching, and affirmative sentences to explore an abstract concept with individuals who might struggle with this. Elicitation Stories can be used as an elicitation tool in combination with data collection tools such as visual conversations, or energy/ regulation meters. This guidence will talk you through the stages of planning, developing, and collecting data using an elicitation story.
